RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights $300pp

The "Work Safely at Heights" course delivered by SALT Training Academy in Port Macquarie and across the Mid North Coast is tailored for both new and experienced workers who are required to operate safely at heights in industries such as construction, mining, infrastructure, and maintenance.

This nationally recognised training provides participants with the essential skills to navigate height-related work environments while complying with current safety legislation and industry standards. Ideal for those working in high-risk roles, the course supports workplace safety in the growing industrial sectors of Port Macquarie and surrounding Mid North Coast regions.

Participants will gain practical and theoretical knowledge to identify:

  • Height-related hazards

  • Assess risks, and

  • Apply control measures that align with Safe Work Australia’s guidelines.

The training emphasises the ability to interpret risk assessment documents and safety protocols, as well as an understanding of the strengths and limitations of personal fall protection equipment.

Whether you’re starting a career or refreshing your skills, this course equips you with the tools to make informed decisions and maintain a safe worksite when operating above ground level.

The course includes hands-on training where students will complete two practical height safety scenarios, installing and using fall protection systems correctly. This involves inspecting, fitting, and anchoring harnesses, lanyards, and related equipment—skills crucial to preventing accidents and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Delivered in one of our training centre or at your workplace, this training supports the region’s workforce by enhancing on-site safety and meeting the high standards demanded by employers across the Mid North Coast.
