HLTFSE005 Apply and Monitor Food Safety Requirements
(100% online) - $60pp
The HLTFSE005 - Apply and Monitor Food Safety Requirements course, delivered 100% online by Salt Training Academy in partnership with Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909), is a nationally accredited unit designed for individuals in supervisory or leadership roles within food preparation environments. This course is especially valuable for professionals working in healthcare, aged care, disability services, or community kitchens across Port Macquarie and the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, where strict food safety standards are critical to the wellbeing of vulnerable clients.
Participants will learn how to implement, oversee, and monitor safe food handling practices in accordance with legal and workplace standards. Key topics include food safety programs, HACCP principles, hazard identification and control, staff supervision, and procedures for responding to food safety breaches.
The training is structured to build competency in maintaining compliance while managing teams and operations where food safety is a shared responsibility.
To successfully complete the course, students must demonstrate their ability to supervise food safety practices through practical assessments, including a Third Party Observation Report. This allows students to apply what they’ve learned in a real workplace setting—such as a hospital kitchen, residential care facility, or large-scale community food service—under the supervision of a manager or team leader. This format is ideal for current employees or volunteers in supervisory roles within the health or community services sectors across the Port Macquarie region.
By enrolling with Salt Training Academy, a trusted local training provider, learners gain access to flexible online education tailored to the needs of regional professionals. With national recognition and industry-aligned content, this course equips participants with the skills and confidence to uphold food safety standards, manage compliance, and lead safe food practices in environments that serve vulnerable populations. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909), validating their ability to apply and monitor food safety requirements effectively.
