Asbestos Awareness Course – Mid North Coast NSW

SALT Training Academy’s Asbestos Awareness Course provides practical asbestos safety training for workers, supervisors and businesses across the Mid North Coast NSW who may encounter asbestos or asbestos-containing materials in the workplace.

This non-accredited asbestos awareness course helps participants understand what asbestos is, where it may be found and how exposure can occur during construction, demolition, renovation, maintenance, repairs, cleaning, inspection and other workplace activities. Participants learn how to recognise potential asbestos risks, follow workplace procedures, report concerns and respond appropriately if asbestos is suspected or accidentally disturbed.

The course is suitable for workplaces across Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Kempsey, Taree, Bonny Hills, Crescent Head and surrounding Mid North Coast communities, providing workers with essential awareness of asbestos hazards and the importance of preventing asbestos fibres from being released or inhaled.

The online course takes approximately 1 hour to complete, although completion times may vary depending on individual experience and familiarity with the subject.

Please note: This is a non-accredited awareness course and does not authorise participants to identify asbestos through sampling, remove or dispose of asbestos-containing materials, or undertake licensed asbestos removal work.
